Support

No matter what life brings, everyone deserves to feel safe and supported.

This page is here to direct you to the information and resources you need to protect yourself and those around you. Whether you're looking for advice, guidance, or just a listening ear, we're here to help.

At St Mary Magdalene

Our safeguarding officer is Rayna Healy, reports and concerns can be taken to her and she can support in reporting issues to the diocese or other agencies for investigation. Click here to email her.

The clergy, church wardens and PCC members are all trained in safeguarding too. Their details can be found here and on the noticeboard in church.

Safeguarding contacts

As well as our own safeguarding officer, there are a number of options available to report safeguarding concerns. If there is immediate danger call the police on 999, or for non emergencies 101.

The London Diocesan Safeguarding Team can help with any enquiries if you are worried that an adult or child has been harmed or is at risk of harm, they can be called on 020 7932 1224 (9am-5pm)

Out of hours advice can be sought from the Thirtyone:eight helpline on 0303 003 1111, selecting option 2. Check out their website here.

If you are a child or a young person under the age of 18, you can use any of the contact details above, but you could also contact Childline on 0800 1111. When you call them you’ll get through to a counsellor, they’re there to listen and support you with anything you’d like to talk about. Or you can have a 1-2-1 counsellor chat online.
